Texas Hold'em

Texas Hold'em is probably the best known and most popular form of poker today.  The game is played at a nine or ten handed table, but the tables can have fewer seats.

How to Play

Each person starts with two hole cards.  There are three rounds of community cards that are dealt face up, for every player to use, with a better after each round.

You are not playing against the dealer, but against the other players.  The best 5-card hand using any combination of the 5 community cards and two hole cards win.

Each new hand begins with a small blind, big blind and a round of betting.

This game allows a total of three raises per round with the exception of a game that finished head up.

Once the first round of betting is complete, the dealer then puts out the first three community cards or "the flop".  There is another round of betting.  The dealer then puts out the fourth community card or "the turn".  There is another round of betting.

The dealer then puts out the fifth community card or "the river".  There is a final round of betting.

After the last round of betting, the dealer will award the pot to the best hand.
